I LOVE THE REASON FOR THE SEASON!
I LOVE being with FAMILY..........

It has been such fun to have "some" of my family "home for Christmas"!
I have been reflecting a LOT this past month on family traditions! I have never lost that excitement and enthusiasm for the celebration from the time I was a little girl. I think I was often more excited than my children when they were small AND I was the one who could not sleep Christmas Eve!!

My greatest present came early this year with all eight of my children together just a week before Christmas for Grant & Katie's wedding....BUT we continued with the celebration from the wedding to some of the family together for Christmas!

These were the stockings I made with red check gingham and it started with James & Scott. I would make a stocking for each child that joined our family. They were packed away for MANY years and this year I dug them out, washed, ironed and hung them!! So many fond memories came rushing forth.
Fort me there is always a tinge of sadness when Christmas is "over". I feel sad packing away those things that bring a smile to my face and a memory rushing forth.
My heart is full of gratitude for the eight children I have and for their families.......
It has been a fun filled Christmas!

"ready to go on the new room so Savannah has a place to call home"
"just let me rest for a moment"
"then I can do it"!

Christmas was so special for me. How I love the reason for the season and how I love spending it with some of my family!
TWO weekends in a row that have brought a very special experience for me....
"EIGHT PLUS" is enough to fill my HEART with LOVE!.....
my heart is full after the two weekends in a row!
