DAY TWO

Monday, May 26, 2008

Well, we managed to get ready for church and be there on time. Considering I have not had to get someone ready for church for a long time I thought we did well. We made it through the three meetings without a problem. Then we came home for lunch. Cameron has been a trooper in his taking charge of caring for Kayla and Trevor. He was tired from going to the Mormon Prom in Carmel IL Saturday night so I told him we would go feed the ducks and do a couple of sabbath day appropriate activities so he could get his Sunday nap ! BUT in return when I came home he had to help me get them fed and in bed. He readily agreed!!
We talked about the ducks needing to eat on Sunday and we could do that but we could not play in the park and we would come back another day for that! Of course they agreed until we got there but they resigned themselves to another day to play!!
More pictures to tell the story of Day TWO!!

Trevor was so FUNNY because he would feed the ducks a bite of bread then he would take a bite of bread! He kept a hand full to eat on the way back to the car! He would share with the ducks but he would not give it ALL to them!!
There is the picture of the duck and if you look closely you can see the piece of bread that Trevor threw and it landed on the ducks back. The other ducks quickly came and tried for the bread which made the duck with the bread on his back angry but they finally succeeded in getting it
from his back. Trevor thought it was so FUNNY!!

So after the duck feeding we delivered cookies to two different families then came home for dinner. Trevor was eating at the table...... and some how managed to get catchup in the living room!!

We ended the evening playing with playdough which is a favorite of both of the kids. Trevor looked over at me and said: "I love you Grandma Barb!" Now that may not seem like a big thing but for Trevor it is......... he will only tell me he loves Eric and Cameron and any BOY but not GIRLS....... the only girl he will tell he loves them is his MOTHER! So for Trevor it was a big deal and for Grandma Barb........my heart was FULL! ........ for eight is enough to fill my heart with LOVE!!

Stay tuned for day three!! :)
