HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO....

.......... BARB!!

Oh mom, it's not fair if YOU don't get a blog post on YOUR birthday. Lucky for you, I only have pictures from the 70's and none of your baby pictures to put up!

Anyways, today is my mom's birthday and all I've heard today is that it's "no big deal" and that she's "too old to even care about birthday's anymore". I don't know if she's just testing me to see what I will do, but the excitement of a birthday never gets old! Maybe that's just part of the way us kids were raised because our mother always made us feel special on our birthday. Amanda's blog was spot on with how she would celebrate our birthday. Cinnamon rolls for the entire seminary class, balloons and decorations littered the house, and presents arranged from when to open them would be placed

on the table. I always look forward to my birthday because of these small but exciting things.

When I think of my mom I think of all the countless acts of service she renders towards our family and others. There's never a week that goes by where she isn't cooking a meal for a sick family in the ward, or baking cookies to take to her visiting teaching families. I always joke around with her that she constantly does TOO much and has too full of a plate, but I know the Lord blesses her for her acts of charity that allow her to continue to serve others.

Well today is your day mom. Kick back, put your feet up, and enjoy your day!
