I am currently in Galesburg visiting my mother so with your birthday today it is easy to think when we lived here and that Thursday in August that we went to the hospital and you joined our eternal family circle. There are memories of many joyous moments! I LOVE YOU and so happy you are a part of our family!!

How could any mother not LOVE that face and be thankful she is her daughter! :)
(it does tell a little about Trevor does it not!)
Melissa came into this world ready to scale mountains and keep up with her two older brothers!!

I remember her kindergarden teacher telling me that she had great determination and if I could channel that in the right direction she could go far but if I could NOT she was heading down a road of trouble. I don't know how well I channeled that determination BUT I know she has done many things of quality in her life. I admire her determination and fortitude in completing her education. I know she adopted the phrase: "I CAN DO HARD THINGS" and throughout her life she has!!

Melissa is a wonderful "big sister" to her younger siblings.....she is a wonderful daughter and she is a fantastic mother, wife and support to her Bishop! :)
She starts the next chapter in a long and challenging course to finish her education. She wanted to test the depth of her "I can do hard things" by including having a baby and finishing her last year of school. The determination her kindergarden teacher talked about will carry her through this next year....I have NO DOUBT!!
After all look at her family, it's in the blood! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MELISSA.....enjoy your day and enjoy the journey!

YES, Eight (plus) is enough to FILL MY HEART WITH LOVE!
