ZINN is having a Birthday today!

Happy, Happy Birthday Katie

In some ways Katie will always be Katie Parker Zinn

because Grant would tell us about her and it was never Katie.

it was KATIE PARKER

The first time I saw and met Katie in person was

Labor Day weekend 2010

(pictured above)

We were able to put a name with the person.

we knew immediately WHY Grant fell in love with Katie Parker

and wanted to marry her!

So they chose December when they would go to the Houston Temple

and be married for time and all eternity.

Working retail made it seem impossible to be able to go to the wedding...Not only did I work retail

but Eric & Cameron also (and at the same store!).  What would be the likelihood that they would

let all three of us off the week of Christmas????

Of course if you take it to the Lord; trust in him things that seem impossible are possible!

furthermore.... all 8 of my children were able to be there for the wedding

beautiful it was because it was for 'eternity' and both

Grant and Katie had conducted there lives in accordance to have 

that temple marriage.

We never get to have a lot of time with Katie since they live so far away

but I know a few things about her that are 

AmaZINNg

&

BEAUTIFUL

Katie is SMART

She graduated from BYU and

taught grade school until they left for Houston to live

The children 'loved' Katie as her teacher and were sad when she

left.

Why would you not love someone so cute, perky and smart to be your teacher!

Katie is CREATIVE

she loves holiday's and she loves to 

decorate.

NOT just decorate but she does it beautifully

As a mother my heart swells with the love that she has for Grant

They make a 'good team'

having fun

working hard

TOGETHER

I would say Katie is ADVENTURESOME

LONG SUFFERING

GENTLE

MEEK

soon Grand baby #11 would enter our world

Eric & Irene got married last July and Katie once again,

was a trooper as they flew to Nauvoo, IL to attend the wedding

Katie was 7 months pregnant at Eric's wedding

The moment came September 20, 2012 when

Katie Parker Zinn changed

her title to that of

MOTHER

Emily Katie Zinn

was born

and so the story continues

of 

Katie Zinn

They are good parents and Emily is well taken care of

We look forward to continuing watching their lives

unfold.

This past year brought Grant's graduation

their move to Houston Texas

a 'new baby'

& a 

'new house' that Katie is busy decorating!
