HAPPY, HAPPY Birthday
Margaret Josephine Kruse Thurman
for today is her 95th Birthday
This is my mother........ who is turning 95 today
we are blessed beyond measure to have her in our life
for the role model she continues to be to each one of us!
our story begins as a family

Life with her has been choice beyond measure!
Each year we feel the added blessing of having her here to continue to teach us
and learn from her.
Two years ago she went through hip replacement surgery and the doctor told her he
had never done surgery on someone as old as she was but she was in excellent health
Her doctor continues to tell her what her family already knows
SHE IS AMAZING!
I went through some of my pictures that will hopefully tell you her story!
This picture was taken in 1969 with James whom changed her
title of "mother" to "Grandmother"!
She took her role seriously and made many good memories for all 11 of her grandchildren
One of her grandchildren put together a memory book of special things
they remember from growing up with her as their Grandma
It is interesting the sweet stories they shared
I KNOW this book will be a special
memory for her when she receives it
at her party we are having tomorrow night.
She has left a legacy for us and for them
playing boggle with those grandchildren. That was the heads of
those children who loved to play board games with her!

In our home Holidays were a good reason to have a party and celebrate!
that is a tradition that has remained with her children
and now her grandchildren make this an important part of their lives and their children
I have put together some events of her life that I will read at her party
tomorrow night and will later post for her family and friends to read
The excitement is mounting within me to arrive today at her home
and celebrate this GRAND EVENT!
Twice last week Kay found mother ON THE FLOOR, cleaning her floors
(not with a mop but on her hands and knees)
CLEANING
she is excited for this weekend to transpire
and we are excited to have 'most' of the
family gathered around
in celebration

Just give mother an opportunity to look at old pictures and
she is right there

Irene met my mother and fell in LOVE with her
who could not!
Mother is amazing YES, she is
she lives independently and takes care of herself
but Kay has been part of the reason she has been able to do this
Kay lives in the duplex upstairs and my mother downstairs
She takes her places and makes sure all is well each day
Hats off to Kay for being such a wonderful caregiver
to such a wonderful mother!
