DAY 2

Before I begin day TWO..... let me sum up day one.......
After I posted the first day, we went to a park and played
then we took another bike ride that was 4.2 miles. That may not seem far for some of the family that rides bikes all over but for ME, who has not been on a bike for YEARS, it was FAR! After the second bike ride we fixed dinner and watched another movie. I decided to try out the whirlpool tub in James and Tam's bathroom
(with their permission to do so) and just enjoyed the entire experience! It was only 9:00 PM but I told Braden that was it for the day......and we went to bed.
As I snuggled in for the night I drifted off in a state of bliss.......thinking of the conversation Braden and I had on the second bike ride..............
THREE times Braden told me how special the day had been and he said: "Grandma Barb, I am never going to forget this day, it was the BEST DAY EVER" I did all the things I had been wanting to do, ALL in ONE DAY!" Well, Braden, it was a wonderful day! Even though my body is rebelling and the first thing I did this morning was reach for the ibuprofen. It was the BEST DAY EVER and if I have made some lasting memories of Grandma Barb for this young man then I can not feel anything but pure HAPPINESS myself! My heart is filled with gratitude for the eight beautiful children I was blessed with, their spouses and the NINE beautiful grandchildren I have in this life.
So onto DAY 2. First thing after breakfast Braden wanted to know the plans for day two! Yes, he wanted another bike ride and I said......NOT a 4 mile one but around the lake and he was satisfied with that so off we went......We stopped at the dam again and this is a picture of "ME AND MY SHADOW"
We watched some ducklings....
Then home we rode....
We went to Target as Braden wanted to get a Basket Ball pump and I THINK he thought we would play a game but after Target we went to Crate & Barrel! (I love that store!) Tam had a gift card from some returns and she said IT WAS MINE! I had SO MUCH FUN there and this is the end results....
We stopped for lunch and Braden picked Panara's.
He certainly knows the way to his Grandma Barb's heart! We were sitting there eating and he told me another "cute thought". He said "when I found out Cameron was not coming, I thought "what am I going to do, this is going to be so boring with just Grandma and me.....but it has not, it has been SO FUN!
I am so glad it has been fun for both of us. We stopped and picked up Braden's friend, Jonathon and off we went to the water park. Braden thought it should just be the two of us but I convinced him, FINALLY, I was NOT going to go down the water slide and he would have more fun with a friend. Jonathon was his choice of friends! (and a good choice!)
Always remember.....
Eight plus is Enough To fill my HEART with LOVE
