1,000 words!!
and the Maple Tree in front of our home says so many things!
It is totally aglow with vibrant color.....yes leaves are falling off of it but it still is BEAUTIFUL

We have had some perfect fall weather and how I "wish" I could bottle it and pull it out in January or February!! I have been teaching Sunday School and we are just wrapping up the study of Isaiah. The combination of this beautiful fall weather and the words of Isaiah about Christ have touched me deeply. We are so blessed to "live in this beautiful world, Heavenly Father created for ME and for YOU!
I am reading a book that has also given me much to ponder over......
I am not even finished with this book but it has brought much insight! This man writes his thoughts as he was born with one half a heart. His heart becomes very sick and he is waiting for a hart transplant. As he waits he has an online blog expressing his thoughts, feelings and observations from this experience. I am only about half way finished with the book but I have found it filled with some great thoughts. I would be finished with the book IF I had not been studying Isaiah so much for my Sunday School lessons the past month!! Some thoughts from the book:
  • There must be a God. How else can you explain all that is beautiful in the world?
  • I believe that acknowledging the reality of death can be a great motivator. None of us knows when our life will end. After all, there is no expiration date on our birth certificate.
  • I know everything works out according to His plan of happiness and His purpose for each of us.
  • Thoughts of dying bring everything wonderful into focus.
  • How can I face a possible death? Because I believe that we lived with God before we were born, that He sent us here to experience life in a physical body, and that when we die we go home having learned more about ourselves and our Father in Heaven.
  • You can't know the sweetness in life without tasting the bitterness also. There is no arson to blame God for what we are subjected to. I believe we chose to experience earthly life as part of a three act play in the eternal nature of things. I believe we lived with God in the first act. We are in the second act. God knows what's ahead for us in the third and final act after we die.
  • There is great power in prayers
  • We feel His love and strength through the service of others. We need to reach out to those in need.
  • Hope is the power to fill our lives with happiness. Its absence---when this desire of our heart is delayed--can make 'the heart sick' (President Dieter F. Uchtdorf)
Nothing here that we do not know but it has been such a good book to read and ponder over! I just wish I had ore time to "just sit and READ"! When I retire?????!!!!!!!! :)
EIGHT PLUS is enough to fill my heart with LOVE!

Great color in your yard!
I was going to suggest I borrow that book, but I don't want to keep it for 18 months!
Thanks for posting.
