2012

is a Christmas I shall ALWAYS REMEMBER! :)

They came from far and wide......
SEVEN of my EIGHT children were here to celebrate Christmas together
EIGHT of my ELEVEN grandchildren were here to celebrate Christmas together!

there was little "floor space"with 22 people here but I was enjoying every minute of every day.
How exciting as a mother to take up TWO pews at Church.......
Grant & Katie did the name and blessing of Emily Kate on Sunday.
what special parents
what a beautiful baby
Emily Kate Zinn
in her blessing dress
12-23-12
those who stood in the circle when Emily was blessed....
After going to church we came home and enjoyed some lunch then it was back to church to get ready for Trevor's baptism!
Trevor was baptized by his father
Ryan
It was a special baptism and the spirit was felt.  I gave a talk on the Holy Ghost and as I shared my testimony of this great gift given to us, the spirit touched my heart and deep gratitude filled me knowing this gift is a part of my life!
Those same priesthood holders who stood in the circle when Emily was given a name and blessing were there to stand in the circle when Trevor was confirmed a member of the church.
I was "humbly grateful" to experience these two ordinances for my family!
Melissa fixed a lovely dinner that was served after the baptism.
Here are a few of the pictures we took after an eventful  Sabbath day!

surrounded with EIGHT of my grandchildren
such a BEAUTIFUL and SPECIAL group of children
and to think I am the mother of these handsome sons!
Tradition was with our eight children that the sat at the top of the stairs
christmas morning and I took their picture together before they
came downstairs Christmas morning.
We have our yearly pictures
This year.....many grandchildren sat at the
top of the stairs.

Owen was the first one on the stairs and he
was READY TO GO but had to WAIT
for his cousins
after the picture was taken they were able to go into the
family room to see what Santa had
brought them!
Grant & Katie came from
Houston Texas to
join us for Christmas
I know it was a sacrifice for them and how GRATEFUL I am
they came......
I LOVE the THREE of them
cousions....loving and playing
Grandma Barb getting to "hold" Emily for the first time

We went to Panera for lunch
they gave Owen a free cookie because
he was so CUTE and polite!
Ava did not go up for a cookie but if she
had she would have been given one
free for being so CUTE!
I am so grateful for the time we had together as a family.  I KNOW it was a sacrifice for each of the families to come together and it was the GREATEST gift they could have given to me.  It is truly a Christmas I shall ALWAYS remember.  Memories of being with some AmaZINNg people in my life.
I love each of you...... my children and their spouses who are so supportive.  The most awesome grandchildren whom bring such joy and happiness to my life.
THANK YOU!

EIGHT Plus is ENOUGH to fill my HEART with LOVE!
