THINGS can make all the difference in the world!

"one of these things is not like the other"

this may seem like a funny though to post about but it has made me so EXCITED! When we moved into this house there was only ONE garage door opener and it was broken. The clip to put it on your visor was gone so I would put it in the middle tray of my car. Last year one of the inside post broke off and the cover would not stay on. It was temporarily fixed several times but would not stay for long. Soon the cover would not stay on so it was just off and I would push the little white button to make it work but it was VERY FRAGILE! I was still happy it worked but not very well!
We tried one of the generic openers but it would not work because our door was an older one. I looked on line to get a "OVERHEAD" remote but they were way expensive.
Well, the "fragile" one bit the dust this week and it was a real pain not to be able to open my garage door so I took a look on line and thought I would just have to bite the bullet and spend the $50.+ to get one. Well, they had the exact one I needed on special and with shipping and handling it was within reason. It arrived in the mail Friday, programed and ready to go. It is quite funny though, as I do NOT reach up for the opener now on my visor but down in the tray. After doing this for seven years it is difficult to change my pattern. SMALL and SIMPLE Yes, but SO NICE and I am HAPPY! :)

Last May Tam invited us to read the Book of Mormon in three months. I was unsure if I could do the Book of Mormon along with studying for my Sunday School class but I committed to doing it. I have kept up with the reading assignment and we are now in Alma. I have been richly blessed for taking this opportunity and I am so grateful I did commit to it. I think it has blessed me as I study for my SS lesson. Today I was so touched with the lesson. The lesson title was to "stand as a witness." There were so many challenges and oppositions the apostles faced yet their commitment to teaching the gospel never faltered. I know I can do much more in my life to stand as a witness!

FUN FRIDAY I THINK have been FUN this summer! I liked the one I did just this past week...and I served Strawberry Short Cake!
I made all these cakes in a cute pan I had which puts the indention in it so they are perfect for short cakes!

This was the next week
A lemonade stand with sugar cookies

This was a BIG hit with everyone and I THANK
Amanda as she came up with the IDEA
Keep those "simple ideas" coming!

I am humbly grateful for the SMALL and SIMPLE things in my LIFE!

EIGHT plus is ENOUGH to FILL MY HEART with LOVE!

AH, the simple things that we don't realize how much we enjoy them until they're broken!
Your FF look so cute, so refreshing.
B of M in 3 months is impressive!
